Christmas treats for the elderly in our community

Following the post from last night on elderly people being alone at Christmas on the care page , we have agreed to put together a gift bag of goodies to gift to those that are still living in their own homes and only have a carer for a visitor... I have made up 50 of these bags and I'm offering them out to Registered carers with a limit of two per carer.... It contains little treats and of course ...a slice of yummy Christmas cake and on the day of going out to be gifted will contain a freshly bought sweet mince pie .... Please keep in mind though if the person you care for is a diabetic this is probably not suitable for them as there are lots of choccy treats ..I have included a Christmas card from the group and also a Christmas cracker... I'm sure you will all agree these bags will bring a smile to their face on Christmas morning ...
